August 12: Thailand Celebrates Mother’s Day!

While countries like Spain or Mexico celebrate mother’s day in May, Thailand celebrates it on August 12th which coincides with the birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. According to tradition, Thai people offer alms to Buddhist monks, and give presents decorated with jasmine garlands to their mothers and spend the day with them. For the ones who are in vacation this hot month, I would like to recommend to watch with their beloved moms The Little Prince (Dir. Mark Osborne, 2015) based on the worldwide popular book Le Petit Prince (1943, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry). The movie tells the story of the alien from Asteroid B612, called the Little Prince, who comes to planet Earth and, thanks to an elderly aviator, meets the little girl who lives with her business mom.🏖💗
